Collaborative and Contract Research
The mass spectrometry facility is part of Swansea University Medical School, we offer collaborative and commercial analytical services grounded in academic excellence. Specialising in Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), and MALDI-MS, our facility provides high-resolution, qualitative and quantitative analysis for a wide range of chemical and biomedical applications—including metabolomics, lipidomics, small molecule quantification, and biomarker discovery. The facility was for over 30 years an EPSRC-funded national research facility and continues to deliver expertise in mass spectrometry analysis.
Swansea University teamed up with the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery to discover more about a portrait of a lady in the gallery collection.
Our very own Dr Ann Hunter has been working with Glynn Vivian Art Gallery looking at art conservation chemistry. The exhibition is on display from Wednesday 15 September 2021 - Sunday 27 February 2022, 10:30 am - 4:00 pm. More information can be found on the Glynn Vivian website.
